READ – READ – READ Arrowhead Hunting in Well what does that entail? At Randy’s Dig you can either hand dig for ancient artifacts, or if you are limited physically you can sift for arrowheads. Seasoned artifact hunters usually prefer to dig arrowheads because they enjoy finding them in their original ancient location where they have been lying for thousands of years. Sifting for arrowheads refers to standing at a sifter table and pawing through a tractor load of dirt (virgin soil that has artifacts but has previously been machine-dug out of the ground for sifting). Central Texas especially the Recently stewards from the Texas Historical Commission have been documenting my collection because of its importance. They know my interest in Texas Archaeology goes back to the early 1960’s when I did my first amateur work in Texas Archaeology is what we do here at Randy’s Dig- wishing of course we could find some buried So bring the family out- heck bring the company party out here for day of outdoor entertainment.
